Superb hotel. Stayed in Nov/Dec 2023. Location is very good and the included breakfast is excellent. Staff very friendly and welcoming. I stayed in 2 different rooms. The first was a renovated room (Super deluxe double bed) and that was very nice. Second room was not renovated (Standard Plus king bed). Room was ok but not much soundproofing and there was a locked interconnecting door to the adjacent room. Overall very happy with the stay.

Just stayed at the Areca Lodge and absolutely loved it. I had a few days in the now reopened Corona Wing overlooking the pool in a Deluxe Plus room. Fully renovated and superbly done. Good buffet breakfast with lots of western and Thai options and an eggs to order station for delicious omelettes or scrambled, poached fried etc. Staff in this hotel are wonderful and very helpful. This was my first time staying at the Areca and I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Stayed in renovated building 2nd pool, little over a week. Room is ok, but nothing special for the price. Pool view. Second floor. Priced to high I thing. Housekeeping slow and inefficient.l most of the days. Dust and dirt in corners which they never remove. Dirty glasses and water boiler. Room general not cleaner before after 2pm, sometimes had to wait until 4pm. Breakfast, nothing special. The standard western style. I skipped it most of times. Most better options for Breakfast in the area.

Make sure to book Deluxe Plus or Standard Plus rooms - those are in the front Areca building whilst other rooms are in different wings. Not sure if the renovation of the Corona wing will confuse the room choices going forward. Deluxe Plus rooms are large with good bathroom and view of the pool. Breakfast is decent. Good location.
